The single layer pipe head for LDPE, HDPE and PP is designed to ensure productivity, material homogeneity and dimensional stability. The modular structure with segmented mandrels and short dies enables fast size changes. The spiral distribution system ensures constant flow and low back pressure, preserving melt properties. The heads cover diameters from 5 to 1200 mm and outputs up to 1500 kg per hour for PE 100. They can be integrated with the IPC system, which improves surface quality and reduces cycle times.

Multilayer pipe head for LDPE, HDPE and PP

The multilayer pipe heads for LDPE, HDPE and PP are designed for applications requiring precise wall thickness control, layer uniformity and process reliability. The multispiral distribution system enables different thickness ratios while preserving material integrity. Low back pressure limits melt temperature increase and ensures dimensional stability. Segmented mandrels and compact dies allow fast production changes. The heads support diameters up to 1200 mm and outputs up to 2000 kg per hour for PE 100, with IPC system.

Pipe coating head

The pipe coating head, also known as Cross Die Head, is designed for the coextrusion of functional or protective layers, in single layer or multilayer configurations. Helical or radial spiral distribution systems, selected according to material and output, ensure balanced flow, low back pressure and thickness control, even on high productivity lines. Made of treated steel, it can include fixed or adjustable centering. Available for diameters from 16 to 800 mm, up to 1200 kg per hour.

Internal Pipe Cooling (IPC)

The Bausano Internal Pipe Cooling system improves cooling efficiency during extrusion by acting inside the pipe. Through a calibrated air flow, controlled by inverter and regulated by sensors, IPC accelerates heat exchange and reduces cycle times. The system is integrated into the head mandrel and works in synergy with external cooling, ensuring greater dimensional stability, homogeneous surface finish and increased productivity, especially with high density materials such as PE 100.

Calibration tanks and benches for PVC, HDPE, LDPE and PP pipes

Bausano calibration tanks for PVC, HDPE, LDPE and PP pipes ensure progressive cooling and dimensional stability. The systems integrate vacuum calibration sleeves, high efficiency sprayers and multiple vacuum circuits. Stainless steel structures, available with one or two chambers, are designed to optimize cooling even at high speeds, up to 1200 mm in diameter. Temperature and water level management is carried out through automatic controls and dedicated pumps.

Bausano cooling tanks for PVC, HDPE, LDPE and PP pipes ensure uniform and controlled cooling, which is essential for pipe dimensional stability. Made of stainless steel, they are equipped with high efficiency nozzles, level switches not sensitive to contamination, electronic motors and fans for final drying. Models with one or two tanks in series cover diameters up to 800 mm and cooling lengths from 6 to 9 meters, optimizing the process even at high speeds.

Pipe haul off and cutting

Bausano haul off and cutting systems are designed to ensure precision, operational continuity and finished product quality. Belt or roller haul offs ensure constant grip, even on large diameters, with speed adjustable by inverter. Cutting units can be rotary blade, circular saw or guillotine type, selected according to material and wall thickness. Synchronized control with the haul off ensures clean cutting and no burrs, even at high speeds. Available for pipes up to 1200 mm.

The Bausano pipe extrusion process starts with dosing and mixing systems, configured according to material formulation and final product characteristics. Each line is designed considering required output, pipe geometry and application standards, with precise definition of layout, operating parameters and control systems. Downstream of extrusion, the configuration includes heads for PVC or polyolefins, calibration and cooling tanks, haul off and cutting systems, which can be integrated with dedicated solutions such as IPC internal cooling or multilayer heads. The end of line is completed with accessories adapted to specific production needs, also through the support of specialized partners.
